DEMETRIANA 2025
25 & 26 October
Dear Parishioners and friend of our Community
Together again to say "hello" and to thank the pupils of our School who enriched the Community's event "TA DEMETRIANA" with poetry, traditional dances and songs. The occasion was to mark the triple celebrations of the Feast of St. Demetrios, the Ayias Skepis and the National OXI day.
We also say a very big Thank You to the teachers who so enthusiastically volunteered and prepared their pupils for the joyous and successful celebration.
The Panegyrical Festivities began on Saturday 25th October with Vespers, continued on Sunday the 26th October, firstly with Matins and H. Liturgy in our Church, culminating in our Church Hall with the above mentioned festivities and the reorganisation of the "Saint Demetrios" Ladies Charity. Small tokens of appreciation were presented to the first president of the Ladies Charity, Mrs Margarita Kounous and the present president Mrs Angeliki Biniou.
Last but not least, we are grateful to all the ladies and gentlemen who prepared the very rich and tasteful buffet food and anything else to make the celebrations such a success.
