Aγαπητά Μέλη και φίλοι της Κοινότητας
ρασαν οι Γιορτές Του Δωδεκαήμερου, με τα Κάλαντα, το στολισμένο δέντρο και, τον Αγιασμό Των Υδάτων. Οι Γιορτές όμως στο Εκκλησιαστικό μας ημερολόγιο δεν παύουν ποτέ  και με την λήξη του πρώτου μήνα του χρόνου που ευχόμαστε να είναι καλός, ευλογημένος και με υγεία, φτάσαμε στην Γιορτή Των Τριών Ιεραρχών Γιορτή Των Ελληνικών Γραμμάτων στις 30 Ιανουαρίου.

Ενας μήνας φεύγει και ένας άλλος έρχεται και με τον ερχομό του Φλεβάρη στις 2 του μήνα, εορτάζουμε την Υπαπαντή του Κυρίου, σαράντα μέρες μετά την Γέννησή του και βλέπουμε πόσο σφιχτά είναι δεμένα τα γεγονότα στην Παράδοσή μας.

Το Ελληνικό Σχολείο Της Κοινότητάς μας θα τιμήσει τους Μεγάλους Αγίους Δασκάλους, Βασίλειον τον Μέγα, τον Θεολόγο Γρηγόριο και τον Ιωάννη τον Χρυσόστομο την προσεχή Κυριακή στις 4 Φεβρουαρίου μετά την Θ. Λειτουργία και την διανομή του Αντιδώρου, στον Ιερό μας Ναό αφού βέβαια, ακούσουμε (και ίσως όλοι μαζί ψάλλουμε) το Απολυτίκιο "Τους Τρεις Μεγίστους Φωστήρες Της Τρισηλίου Θεότητος.......". Τα λόγια έχουν βαθειά έννοια, και αξίζουν την προσοχή μας.

Μια μέρα πριν ομως, το Σάββατο στις 3 Φεβρουαρίου με χαρά θα σας δεχτούμε στο Στέκι Μας, στην Κοινοτική μας Αίθουσα από τις 10.30πμ μέχρι τις 3μμ, για καφέ/τσάι που θα συνοδεύονται από παραδοσιακά εδέσματα κτλ.

Κυριακή 4 Φεβρουαρίου 2024 Σχολική Γιορτή, για τους Τρεις Ιεράρχες και τα Ελληνικά Γράμματα, μετά την Θεία Λειτουργία 

 

Dear Members and Friends of our Community

The Twelve days of Christmas with their colorful Festivities, Carols, Christmas Trees and the Blessing of Waters are behind us but the Feasts of our Ecclesiastical Calendar never cease. The end of the first month of the year, for which we wish to all to be healthy, prosperous and blessed, marks the Celebration of the Three Hierarchs St, Basil the Great, St Gregory the Theologian and St, John The Chrysostom,. Great Teachers and protectors of the Hellenic Letters (30 January).

Time flies and as soon as one month goes another arrives and the beginning of February, the 2nd day of the month, sees the Feast of the Entrance of the Lord to theTemple, just forty days after His birth and we cherish the link between Faith and traditions.

Keeping up Traditions and Celebrating the Three Hierarchs, the Greek School of our Community will pay homage to the memory of these Saints on Sunday 4th of February after the end of the H. Liturgy and The Andidoron when we will all have the opportunity to hear and perhaps participating  to the Apolytikion that honours Them. The words are beautiful if we pay attention to them.

A day before, on Saturday 3rd of February we will open up 'Our Place' at our Church Hall for the monthly Coffee Morning between 10.30am to 3pm for coffee/tea, complimented by traditional delicacies.
